Where to catch them

I have a buddy with a boat he keeps at Paris Landing on KY lake. We have fished there several weekends in a row with very little luck. Where is a good area near Paris Landing to catch them? We have scouted a dozen or more stakebeds around there with no luck. We are using jigs in about 4-8 feet of water. What are we doing wrong? The fish locator on the boat indicates the presence of lots of fish but we can't seem to get them to hit.

My son lives in Paris, Tn. Go DEEPER YOUNG MAN! Find some drops with structure. I have not fished in the Tenn. portion of the lake but the rules are the same. It will be a little harder to find fish now that it has warmed up. You might try some night fishing, or it is money well spent to hire a guide for a half day.
