Default Big & Little Harris Lakes, Saturday, Sept. 8th

August is drawing to a close, and
hopefully heat of day will slow down.

Saturday, Sept. 8th, brings the 14th
tournament of 2012 schedule back into
    focus.

Big & Little Lake Harris, Venetian Gardens Ramp,
    off Leesburg bypass...............

Open to the general public, no club dues, just come,
pay entry and enjoy the day fishing with the best
of the best Crappie (Spec) fishermen/ladies that the state
of Florida has to offer. Pros, weekend warriors, and beginners
combined to hunt for Ole Mr. Crappie and learn from each
other various techniques that puts those papermouths in the
    boat.

Night fishing so far this month in Central Florida on lakes
Kissimmee, Hatchinhaw, Tiger, Walk-in-Water, Rosalie & Tarpon
    have been reasonably good.......No monsters, but 1.8 - 1.12 &
1.15 lb have not been unusal, especially at Tarpon & Kissimmee.
One lake we have found the start of egging up pretty much getting
    under way.

Attached is one of Fishin813's & Jamin696 night set ups, no bobbers
or long poles, average length 4.5 - 7.5 ft, live minnows, single hook
1/4 oz inverted bullet weight, 1 foot above #2 or #4 cam style red
or gold hook. This method loads rod tip quite nicely and makes
    watching line & tip easy

Nice set-up, that's the way to fish this time of year - at night, less heat.
The finest gift you can give to any fisherman is to put a good fish back, and who knows if the fish that you caught isn't someone else's gift to you?"

sure is relaxing - and you can really run through all your thoughts both pro & con...
most of the time your partner has no idea what you say because of the generator
sounds...its just a great feeling of commradorly, unspoken friendship..

Usually at night we catch a better quality of Ole Mr. Crappie....bigger, more
aggressive & sometimes in the most unlikely places..............

drop-offs, sharp bends, brush piles, small & large holes, sometimes close to the
bank other times way off the grass line, under docks, as little as 1 ft contour lines of a bowl type lake. Catch more fish on the
7-8 & 9th nights after a full moon than any other time of the month.
