Size: 32.7 KBSandy & I headed out the other night for some Crappie. We did something a little different. We took Ice fishing rods. We got the Reel-Lite in the water just at dusk, and shortly the Crappie showed up. I don't know how many we caught, but we kept 15 nice ones. The biggest was 12 1/2". We also kept 7 Bullheads. If you have never tried Ice Rods in the summer, you have missed a good time. It's really fun. We were in 34' of water, 1/8 oz. Lindy Jigs, and minnows.

Now that is interesting idea, fishing with ice rods during the summer.
Have a feeling that would like have a whale on the other end of that ice rod.

I used to set up my kids up with Zebco 202 reels and ice-fishing poles, it was so convenient & fun, I went out and got a couple Ugly-Ice poles and ultra-light reels for myself ... doesn't matter what you catch, it's a riot!
... for those about to fish, we salute you.
