I dont know about this model but my 987 is aaaawesome. I located some sunken tires and you could see the hole and all in the sideimaging. They looked like donuts down there. I am finding new things about the waters i fish.
Sorry if this thread is in the wrong area, but I'm new to this forum.
I'm looking at purchasing a new fish finder, and was wondering if anyone has any history for the Humminbird 727? Seems like a good deal for the money, found them online for as little as $232.00 new in box, and I like the idea of being able to purchase a $42 cable that allows the hook up of my handheld GPS to it. A combo FF for under $300 (I already own the GPS) isn't bad.
Any thoughts and experiences with this model would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Hey Tim aint the 987 the bomb ??????? !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wait till you see the new one ,better side imaging definition than before!!!!!
Hi Itallushrt,
I got a Matrix 727 around Christmas. I really like the split screen feature. I talked to Humminbird CS and the only difference between the 727 and 737 was the transducer. Also, you can by a 'splitter' and the 3-way (737) transducer and have both. I'm going to run the regular transducer from the transom and put a 3-way puck style on the trolling motor. Just haven't done it yet. For the money, I am very pleased with mine.

What do you mean? The new one is better? Mine is only 4 1/2 months old and can download any updates for it.Originally Posted by prchjerker
