It looks like he succeeded, where as the guy in the link I posted a couple months ago didn't quite have it figured out yet. Rick you need to make an adapter cable for that, of course I would get a small royalty fee for suggesting it .

    It's interesting to note here...

Not long after I purchased my 1197c SI Combo... (it was just a few months actually)...HB came out with the "much anticipated" DI from SI software upgrade...

Well I think everyone agrees that software upgrade feature was a disappointment to HB users....

But what is interesting ....Soon after the upgrade, I posed the question to a HB rep about the possibility of HB coming out with a completely different SI xducer that had dedicated DI crystals to give actual DI images...(not computer generated wanna-be images)...

The answer I got from the HB rep was..."That would make the xducer need to be nearly a foot long and consumers would never go for an xducer that long...."

    I guess we shall see...huh...??

Justin...I think the link you posted some time back was the beginning that sparked this guy's interest in using the LSS-2 on the HB SI..

He mentions conferring with Rickard on the conceptual phase of his undertaking...

That Rickard is 1 smart feller...

the detail in those pics from the other forum is amazing, and I can see the use for various applications, but would the average fisherman need that kind of detail and clarity? Its good to see guys like to tinker and have success at it. I usually end up with too many broken/unusable items (junk) when I'm finished experimenting. LOL
    GO BIG ORANGE !

I meant to behave, but there were just way too many other options available at the time.
