    Default Productive day Monday

Went fishing with EB out at Beaver Lake since i had nothing planned on Monday. Started about 9am and left around 4pm with 19 crappie, a bass and some bluegill. Mostly caught them on minnows. Tried some jigs, but that seemed to catch more bluegills and a few crappie. They seemed rather sluggish Monday. EB has a better sense of detecting that light bite than i do. Many times i thought i was snagged on something and realized i actually caught a crappie. Found a few crappie that still had eggs as well.

I am finally getting time to post on yesterdays outing. As Chris said we started about 9:00 at the Marina and had fairly good luck there. They wasn't as eager to bite as they were on Friday but we had a front coming thru then so they was in a better mood to put the feed bag on. We had to entice them a little more yesterday, but still had a bunch that wanted to go for a boat ride. We had quite a few littler ones bitting yesterday as to Friday where it was mostly bigger fish. We did catch some like what I got Friday and we lost some really big ones at the boat. Chris uses a net now when he catches a big fish. It is really heart breaking to catch a really nice Crappie and lose it at the boat. We did manage to get a few pics out on the water tho. All in all we had a pretty good day. It was a lot better than working.

Chris, looks like a great day on the water. Any fish under 12'' is a "Lifter", any over 12" is a "Netter". Pay attention to your grandmother..
