    Default (Pic) Does anyone use jigs for Bream?


    And please tell me what you think especially of the little Bream Jigs and they have #8 size hooks. Also in the pic I decided to tie some jigs using marabou feathers for the tail.

    No reason they shouldn't work. I use beetle spins all the time.

    The only color I use for bream is Black. It works like a charm. Never had any luck on any other colors.

    I agree, they ought to work but I also mostly use beetle spins or other type spinners for bream on conventional tackle. If I want the the spins a little deeper, I just put a small egg weight above them.

    I use a black grub - it works as well as anything for me - plus it kills the shellcrackers year round.

    They all look good to me. Those are my most used colors for panfish at every lake i fish. Try tying an all black in those sizes and your arsenal should be complete.

    When you say a black grub what are you talking about, on a bettle spin or plain jig head. By the way Skip, nice looking jigs.

    I just use a plain jig head. Every now and then I'll use a white headed jig. So simple but very effective just about every time out.
