Figured id give this mod a try and boy am i happy woth it! I dont know how much it will help the night fishing but it sure does look cool! lol Total cost of this project was $15. Hours spent = 1. Holes drilled in yak= 1 (behind seat to run wires) Lights are powered by a small 12 volt battery i pulled from a spotlight that someone had tossed.

RR, Got them off ebay and yes they come with 3m peel and stick glue strips already attached.Im not sure how long they will hold underwater but if they come off ill just reapply them with some clear silicone caulk.

so you have lights inside and under the kayak? Let us know how the lights affect your night vision. I know from sailing at night that the red lights don't kill your night vision but don't know about the green.

    Cool setup!

There are many many many sellers on ebay selling all kinds of led light strips. I shortened the list by searching for "waterproof green led light" and only looking at U.S. sellers. Still had over 100 to choose from.

Thanks and I do appreciate the site. I looked at a bunch but didn't see the one in your picture. Now I got it.

How well did those fishing lights work? I just bought a Hobie pro angler 14 and I wanted to put some fishing lights on it, but I want to see if they were worth the project or not.
