We had a front come thru with thunderstorms ahead of it about 2:30 am, when I got up at 4am I checked the radar and the storms were on the way out of the area. I loaded up and headed to the lakes right behind it. Drove in a light rain that quit about the time I backed up to the ramp. I started fishing at 5:30 am and went to my honey hole and the bite was very slow. The water is 17' deep there and sometimes I would catch them 5' deep and some time at 10' deep. I fished minnows and could not get them to hardly touch a jig.
The wind kept switching directions and about 8 am it started to drizzle and looked like a rain storm was on the way. I just made it to the landing before it hit and I had to wait it out in the truck. Water temps here are still 88° and I sure could use some cool weather. I ended up with 22 and here is a picture of some of them fixen to get fileted.
