    Default Truman 8/10

Went down to Truman to do a little pre-fishing for my dad's bass tournament tomorrow with the intent to do a little crappie fishing too. Fished for bass all morning and caught only shorts. Then picked up some minnows at Long Shoal and fished couple bluffs with no luck before we headed to the T-6 point. Tied up to a tree there and ended up catching 18 nice keepers off the one spot in about an hour. Most were 10-11" and nice looking fish. Were fishing the minnows 4-8" below split shot and dropping it all the way to the bottom right by the tree and then just very slowly reeling up and pausing every few cranks. Caught fish at various depths by the tree. If anyone is headed down this weekend and wants to try the spot, the tree is the one on the outside edge and has a 4-5" diameter branch sticking out of it about a foot above the water.

Sounds like you got a mess to eat any way with some good ones to boot. Good luck on your tourney and keep the reports coming.

. Oh THAT tree! EVERYBODY knows about THAT tree! . The boys and I fished out of Bucksaw this morning, caught one good 13"'r some other keepers but a lot of shorts. Having lunch in Warsaw and going to long shoal after. Might have to find your tree
