Just a sample picture of what I use to fish for, before I started crappie fishing last January. I caught this fish about 5 min car ride to the ramp, and 5 minute boat ride to spot. You could say it is in my neighborhood. It sure is going to be a challenge to stop fishing for these. Maybe I'll just add-in crappie!

My whole life, I have never owned a scale or weighed a fish. Once in awhile when I catch a good striper, I step on the bathroom scale, with and without the fish, to figure how much it weighs. I also have never fooled around with citation paperwork. I guess I'm just soul-fishing. However, I have always measured and that one was 27". Caught it last fall.
