    Default 798 down image shots

Here's a few screen shots from my 798. I think they are pretty good considering the 798 doesn't have a designated D/I crystal in the transducer.

    Great pix Shellback...

That's about as good or better than any I've ever gotten on my 1197...

I have all my DI views Hidden....(but, then again, I didn't buy my bird for the DI)....

That better DI than I have ever gotten on my 798. Large or small transducer?

My problem could be a loose nut on the control panel.

I have the small transducer. I don't always get real good pictures, I think it has to do with the structure itself and it's ability to bounce back the sonar waves.

I think it has more to do with HB's "DI from SI" technology... Inferior..

Yea, but the DI was a freebee software upgrade on the 798. Not sure how their designated DI units fair.

If I remember correctly, the wind was blowing pretty good that day, and I was searching not fishing. So I'd have to say no fish. We were fishing out of the Longwood campground.
