Bluebird day and no wind = sorry day

Have been trying to learn how to pull crankbaits and today was my worst day of my 4 days of pulling. 1st day got 21 in some wind, next 9, next 15 and today only got 3 before I put up the trolling rods and got out my jigpoles. Caught 11 more before I got too hot. Lost quite a few and could feel them just touch the jig and not take it. Believe the no wind is bad for fishing, don't think I will pull in these conditions again.
