    Default Forage base in Truman

I would like to know the kind of minnows, shad, and insects that crappie feed on in Truman lake. I was looking more for the correct names so that I might be able to identify there life cycles and be able to match the hatch so to speak.

Truman is a gizzard shad factory and provide the majority of the crappie forage. Insects play an important role too and mayflies are the usual fare. Red shiners will make up a smaller portion of the forage base in Truman too - Jake
