    Default Oconee River Today

Me and one of my oldest friends, Billy M., went down to the Hwy 46 Landing near Soperton fer some breams. We got started around 830AM am and fished hard until around 1PM. We managed only one bream and one catfish. It was worth the trip as it was the last landing on the Oconee that I had not fished. The river had come up but was falling during the AM.

This part of the river is very flat and hard to work your way up through the logs. We found only 3 holes with depth greater than 5 feet. OMG at the logs.

No pics but a good trip. I would go back but will wait until spring.

    Good fishing to all.

My dad and one of his friends went bass fishing there one fall and put in at Hwy 46. They caught some and came back with some wild tales of the big ones that got away. What kind of landing did you find? Were you able to back a trailer into the river and launch?

    Keep your hooks sharp!
