Great report and dinner to boot!
Pops and I put in at Long Shoal around 7am and hit the bluff on your left as your heading out of the grand. Couple bites without a fish, but there was a guy who showed up and tied to a tree and caught about a dozen keepers in that one spot before we left. Then headed to the T-6 point and ended up with few keepers there and couple small hybrids. Then headed up the Tebo just above T-8 and started fishing trees on the edge of the channel. Managed to find one tree cluster where we caught about a dozen keepers and a small channel cat. Then it got slow so we pulled out and went to Windsor Crossing and fished the bridge piers. Only caught one keeper there, few shorts, and 8 small blue cats. Ended with 19 keepers for the day. Few nice ones, but most 9-10". Caught everything on minnows fished 4-8" below split shot and fish came 12-18' down in 20-30 fow and right next to the trees. Overall a pretty good day for a couple of guys who mainly bass fish
Great report and dinner to boot!
The best way to get to where you want to be in the future is to act like you are there TODAY.
I know Bass fishing is fun but if your not careful you'll forget all about em if you keep on crappie fishing.
