The brush cutter is a great pole!! A little heavy. Check out the BnM Ultralite jig pole. It's about the lightest, most sensitive pole I've ever used. It won't wear your arm out after a day of fishing.
I have a gift card for Cabelas and would like to get me a new rod to dip trees and jigging. I really don't have much experience in doing either, but would like to be catching fish. I have been looking at the BnM Brushcutter in a 10 footer. I have a baitcaster reel I would like to put on it, with about 8lb test line. What opinions do you guys with experience have and would this setup be a good one? Is there something better I should consider? Thanks for the input.
Phil

I have a couple of Brushcutters, tough as nails and sensitive enough to feel a light bite. I think you'll be happy.

BnM are tough rods for sure! It's hard to say what you ll like untill you try em out! Some are heavy, some are light, it's all in what you prefer to fish with! Good luck!
I've gone spinner on my dipping rod and won't go back. Nice to peel out extra line with a flick of the bail when in the deeper waters.
The best way to get to where you want to be in the future is to act like you are there TODAY.
Phil, I like MH rod in baitcasting and a reel with a flipping switch for fast up & down. They may be heavey but I like them. Also remember a spin rod can have a trigger added to make baitcasting rod Roger
I thought I would add I had Ozark rods and thereis nothing wrong with them just a little heavy for a old man all day!!!!!!!
May all your live wells be full.Dave
