No more, that was the ONLY Crappie in there!!!
A good friend of mine from school has a couple acre farm pond right in front of his house in the rural part of the next county over. We know that there are Large mouth, Yellow perch, Bluegill, And red ear, BUT he has only CAUGHT 1 black crappie there from shore, but he has never seriously tried fishing for them, the one he did catch he snagged with a crank bait by accident while bass fishing. SO, does this mean that there are more than one crappie in the pond?
I'm going there today at 4, and instead of bass fishing there like I usually do, I'm going to try a small Tooty fruity tube tipped with a crappie nibble with a float. What are the chances of there being more than one crappie there? Anyone?
That one crappie was pretty big and pretty healthy

Get you a ultra light with 4# test and a 1/64oz jig or 1/32nd oz jig and find out just fan cast if they are there they will thump it

I've always been told there is no such thing as one crappie in a pond. Seems like it sometimes tho.

I once was told that there were now crappie in the ponds at ft gordon, ga. After a couple of 100 fish days, i changed the game wardens mind
Well after 3.5 hours, no crappie, 2 big 8 inch Bluegill though........ And several Large mouth tried to eat my tube
Summer can be tough in ponds, I've found that right during sun down is best time. Use the float and fly technique unless you have minnows.
