The left pic looks as if it's a whirpool. Perhaps from the trolling motor? The right pic, same thing, just not as pronounced. Dunno other than that.
billbob and I were pulling cranks, jigs, roadrunners, little Georges, and rattletraps today around the power lines and north toward Eagle Creek on the Big Sandy River. We ran across/thru these in the area on numerous occasions in the area. I have no clue. We didn't get a hit on any bait. Something stacked, but I know not what.

Reaper, Where Fish come to Fry
87.9 water temp? Maybe it's the bubbles forming as the water gets ready to boil. I dunno, I run across those vertical stacks quite often. Just assumed they were bait fish. I take it that those tight vertical stacks aren't something you see normally?
I believe those are old tree's with the branch's gone. but i could be wrong!
Woman Love me, Fish fear me!
Does the lake have an aeration system??? The columns of bubbles are very pronounced as you pass over them. My home lake just got a new system installed that pumps pure liquid o2 and the spikes on the fish finder look very similar
That's how the COE's "lost" buoys look on my mono graph. My homelake is dropping fast and now those buoys are just starting to pop out of the water. Last time the lake was down these things were everywhere.
All lakes raise a foot when I step in the boat
Canepole you have your system down pat with remotes working both motors, very cool video btw, so now you can start a home made underwater viewing system if you dont already have one. Would love to see video from you using that. As far as your what is that question, it could be something as simple as a large diameter rope with a jug filled with air tied to the top of it to a large old tree trunk as already mentioned.
Tie a rope to billbob throw him over the side make him swim down and look...Thumbs Up
I don't know what you've found Cane Pole, but I found this in Barkley.
Telephone pole?
