    there is a chance i might be trading my tracker for a pontoon.i was nervous 6 years ago when i was looking for boats of getting taking to the cleaners so i bought a new one....i guess my question is what do i look for,can i take it somewhere and have it checked out...any concerns or questions i should have....just trying to figure it out before it's to late

    you can take it to Hornblower Marine Svc, 115 E Market St, New Albany, IN (812) 941-9990 they can look it over for you...

    Put it on the water and Test drive the boat. Imo just like test driving a car. also have a compression check done

    I agree check the oil in the lower unit for water (milky color, or metal flakes in the oil (after your test drive) compression should be even across all cylinders (withing 10%) check floors for soft spots use everything on the drive be sure it all works check transom for rot
