Default Truman Lake Coughed Up a Funky Fish

Went this weekend with four guys, and we all caught our limits except my father n law. Poor guy caught three white bass and two crappie the entire morning. We all had a good time and saw plenty of crappie hitting bait balls. No crappie got over 11" and we kept nothing under 9.5". The fish were scattered any where from 10 to 20 fow. I've been counting a quick 8 seconds when I flip the bell over and let it swim back with a jig tipped with minnow. Most would hit it on the drop. Saw a huge bald eagle too. Put them all on ice and cleaned them later, and found one that must have been diseased. I've cleaned a bunch of crappie in the last 5 years but never seen one that had spongy meat. His bottom fin was bloody, and both sides were nasty. He stunk to high heaven so I threw him away. Anybody ever see something like that? I took a picture of it but you really can't tell unless you see touch and smell it.

Had one like that a couple weeks ago. I figured that he just got to hot while I waited to clean em. He was the only one out of 15 though so dunno!

Same here Dave, only thing was he was the only one out 45, or only one I've ever seen that way. Should have took him to the mdc I guess.
