Smithville 7-15-12

Got out at daylight and was able to scrounge up a nice limmit. Fished 6' to 16" fow. All fish came on jigs. I am going to smoke some of them this time. I just gut them,scale them and chop the heads off. Put a ball of tin foil in the cavity and smoke at 225 deg for about an hour. Then the skin and bones peel away. MMMMMMMM GOOOOOOOOOOOD.

Congrats on the limit . They are hitting jigs good right now . That same depth range has been working for me as well . Skeeterxs170 and I caught a nice mixed bag Friday .

Man I'm not too sure about smoking crappie, that sounds funky, but hey I'll try anything once. Good report and pics.
