Battery Charging

I remember some years ago seeing at cabelsa or BP a wiring harness that aloud charging the boat troll battery while in route to and from the lake. Why couldn't I just run a wire from the Battery to a cig outlet in the car and charge it like that ?

You could. However, if you forget its plugged in and attempt to start the vehicle, you are going to have some melted wires and possibly a fire. The starter is going to try to use current from the boat battery along with the vehicles battery to start the motor. Check this out: http://www.raystackle.com/
