Default Question regarding substitute for a team member

I will have to use a substitute for the Cataract tournament coming up next week. (Dad had a heart attack a little over a month ago and the Doc refuses to release him - much to his displeasure) I was reading over the rules regarding the use of a sub, but didn't know if my friend would have to be "approved" or do I simply need to declare him as a sub for my father?

Or do I simply show up with my sub and fish the tournament? I'll have to fish the August tournament alone... So no questions regarding multiple use of a sub.

    Thanks for any info.

Just show up and fish. Each team is allowed one unpaid sub per year. Im pretty sure.

That's correct... You just show up and fish with your sub as every team is allowed one unpaid sub.
    See ya next Saturday.
