Default H shape bouy markers leaking

I had a problem with my H-shape bouy markers leaking,so I bought me a can of GREAT STUFF and I drill a hole in each side of bouy, then I sprayed a little in each side, now they stay afloat and do not sink while on water. Only put a small amount in each side so it will not swell because if it swell it wouldn't go in my winder

I got tired of those leaky Mann-Bouys and got a set of hard plastic bouys from BPS- they are more round and can "migrate" in windy conditions, but at least they don't sink. I think I'll try your trick with some of the Mann-Bouys I might still have left.

Several years ago I had one of those marker buoys blow out of the boat and it was dragged down the highway until another driver pointed it out to me. I used Great Stuff to salvage that buoy and drilled holes in my other buoys and filled them like you did yours.
I've also used that great stuff to fill the aluminum handles on my cheapo dip nets so they will float. Anymore I've found that I can get the nets to float by filling the hollow handle with those Styrofoam packing peanuts and not have to use that messy Great Stuff.
