I've caught all my largest Crappie on live minners... 3" and bigger minners. I've also caught some big ones on bandit crank baits.

Whatever you put in front of them when they're hungry Rofl

Seriously, you have to be fishing a body of water that HAS huge Crappie, to start with. You'd have to define "huge", too, since it may be quite different in different parts of the country. Then you find out what lures are being used to catch the most of these fish. Time of year, as well as many other factors play a role in determining what lure would work best. There really isn't any ONE lure that's "best", anywhere & any time ... if there was, there would be no need for all the other thousands upon thousands of lures to be made.

You can only define the "best lure" as the one you have tied on, when you're wearing them out on whatever body of water you're fishing !!

Lures are made to catch fishermen, not fish. Day in and day out, it's hard to beat a live minnow.
