Fished Leach Lake near Hastings, uhg!!!! My bro and I arrived late because of work today,what a crumbby launch. Then we couldn't find any fish of good size lots of 6ins.( Non qualifying length.) At weight in there were about 30 gills tonite and 1 bass. Pretty sad showing for 10 boats. Next week Sessions near Ionia I 'm solo so I will try for the walleye. Lake erie report also last Sat my nephew and I launched out of Bolles Harbor at 6am went out to 14ft of water,the sonar screen was loaded with fish. We moved north so I could set lines, when we turned around there were a 100 boats so we just stayed north of them and stummbled into a school of eyes. Boxed two limits by 10:30 and was packen for home. All 16.5 to 22 inchers on meat gold blades red or orange beads worked well for us. The nephews 1st walleye and a 10lb dum for his largest fish ever. his arms were sore because he reeled in all the fish. Went thru 5doz crawlers lots of junk fish in the mix too. A GOOD DAY FISHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

sorry to hear about the fishing on leach, I was there on sunday and caught 50 (with buddy) nice 8 to 9 in. gills did not try for any crappie.it is a tricky lake to fish.
I want to go give those erie walleyes a go, what boat launch do you suggest, and what time should you get there? I bet they are very busy launches.:rolleyes:
