Smithville Sunday Super Start

And that’s about it. Caught my first short before my second rod and jig even hit the water and thought it’s ON! NOT! Dipped trees with jigs and it was tough; caught 1 keeper and lost a keeper when my wife called because I had my phone on my shoulder and a rod in each hand…….women? Caught about four more shorts and that’s about it. It was hot when I left so came home and jumped in the pool. Life is Good!

Chris(STL) will have a little better report he was using minnows and had a few when I seen him. Good to see ya again.

I bet it was gettin warm! I've only been out once in the last two weeks and that's how it started off for me. Then after a half hour of nothin bam. We got 19 keepers out of about 30 caught in the next hour. Thanks for sweatin it out and the report!

Good to hear you got out & thanks for the report. You're a brave man going out in this heat .. even if it was early! I got out Saturday for the first time in awhile and found a few, but nothing to write home about. Very strange weather at Smithville Saturday morning though.

We bass fished until about 8 of so. Then went looking for Whites, still no luck with them since two weeks ago. Finally headed north got on fish and the winds sent us back towards calmer waters
