    Default One man pontoon opinions

Found a good deal on CL for a one person pontoon boat that I could not pass up. I can use it for the small creeks and fishing holes in central Texas, but am wondering if anyone has any experience using them for inshore saltwater fishing along the gulf coast. Here is an Internet photo of one similar to mine only mine doesn't include the back pack. Name: ImageUploadedByTapatalk1340382316.449570.jpg

I checked the Classic Accessories FAQ page and their answer is "No, we recommend only using your pontoon boat in slow moving fresh water." However, they don't say why. Perhaps corrosion issues? Perhaps safety and liability issues?

Never really considered the corrosion issue, but makes sense. Better keep it in fresh water. Thanks for the input. I guess a yak is in my future.
