    That's a bait sized Gill you got there.
    If you were on the lower Colorado River that is.
    We use that size and larger for flat head bait.
    I'm not sure but I believe those are legal to use in some parts of the Delta.
    They'd make great bait for big stripers if so.

    I would have used them for bait but betting rid of my boat and I hate bank fishing for Stripers on the Delta.

    Oh boy I do love filleted Panfish :-) a little bit of olive oil & salt/pepper to taste in a frying pan.... Man that's good eating!

    No disrespect but i dont seee how you get much of a fillet off little gills like that. We call them tater chip bream cause they aint much bigger than a lays tater chip. I have seen people cook them small uns whole but never fillet any that size . But hey, as long as you eat em i guess its ok. Good job
