Default Father's Day Crappie at Smithville

Got to the W bridge ramp about 9 AM and ran into Double D (nice talking to you again Dex), he gave me a couple of tips on depth range and jigs so up I went. Fished the Lynn/Roberts Branch area and got on fish immediately. I brought along some minnows just in case the bight was tough but following Double D's tip I caught fish 8-10 ft down over anywhere between 12-17 FOW. Caught about half on jigs (electric chicken was the color) and half on minnow. Biggest went 12 in, had a few at 11 to maybe 11 1/2 in and the rest were 10 in good eaters for Smithville. Got off the water about 12:45 just as the ramp started to get crowded. Saw some guys trolling for walleye in the Trimble Lake area so now that I've got my crappie thump fix its back to trying to find these cursed toothy fish.Name: Father's Day Crappie.jpg

Nice job. Did ya use the Spider boat or single rod? The trees are starting to hold some.
