    Default rockyford fishing area.


    Does anybody know if walleye and saugeye live in the rockyford fishing area and the blue river year round. or do the travel down stream

    I sent your question to Ely Sprenkle fisheries bio at Tuttle Creek. His reply is below.




    Yes, saugeye can be found at Rocky Ford year round. People are always catching a few, no matter the time of year. However, there are usually more in the spring when fish are migrating upstream to spawn.

    OK thanks a lot craig. i was always wondering about that, bc i thought saugeye couldn't reproduce because they were hybrid. maybe they still have the instinct to go upstream and spawn.
