Default Day 1 Launch of the BASSMASTER Northern Open at Osbourne Landing

Not fishing today, but since I like boats as much as I like fishing I went down to the ramp with the camera. Thought I would share a few with you all. Hope you enjoy.

    Neat pictures!

If I was a dedicated crappie fisherman I would say something like ...

    1. ...Poor misguided souls.

    2. ...It reminds me of Shakespeare...Much Ado About Nothing. Rofl

But it wouldn't be right to joke 'em for chasing a couple of green carp. Would it?

Probably no when you look ]at some of 'em's lifetime paychecks over green carp fishing. I never fails to amaze me how much money somebody has in the boats, trucks, and accessories some of them guys use for fishing. Whew!

If I heard right I believe there were about 150 boats.

I like this one most of all. Thanks for posting these, I had forgotten about this event! The picture "downsized" when I copied it, but, this is the "Semper Fi" boat and the angler is a Wounded Warrier, double amputee. Hope he competes well! The boat as the Legend Alpha Tactical, here's the story of the Marine and the boat, it humbles me to know about this inspirational story:

"The Alpha Tactical was previewed to the public just weeks ago on the Ultimate Fishing Experience airing on NBC Sports Network, where aspiring bass pro and double-amputee Marine Corporal Larry Draughn joined Bassmaster Elite Pro Jason Quinn to chase dreams and big bass at Promise Ranch in central Florida. At the conclusion of the experience for Larry, and after boating a 13lb largemouth for Quinn, Larry was presented with paid entries into the B.A.S.S. Opens, a boatload of gear and tackle, and the keys to the first ever Legend Alpha Tactical. Larry’s boat is now on display at the Bassmaster Classic this weekend in Shreveport, LA".
    Don't outsmart your common sense!
    Jack
