I may be showing my "rookieness", but do you all use a baitcaster type reel with the 10/12/14 foot BnM type rods? Seems like a spinning reel would be better. I'm tight-lining with these rods.
Thanks, Wally "FishnFed"

I use all spinning reels on my poles for the simple reason I want my eyes on my poles pointing down. I have about 100 BnM poles I use for trolling and they are all rigged the same.
i fish shallow water (rarely more than 10'), so i use those small slater plastic pole reels on both jig and trolling poles. if i fished deeper water i'd use small spinning reels. everyone does it a bit differently, so you decide whay works best for you and how/where you fish.
I was thinkin about doing that to

Health nuts are going to feel stupid someday, lying in hospitals dying of nothing.
My 10ft Uncle Buck Graphites have "underspins" on them. I like the triggers. If I didn't have them I'd put small spinning reels on them!
