    Default Rod holders?

    What rod holders are you guys using? I looked at the scotty's from Dick's and they seemed pretty heavy for their size. Are there any lighter weight options or possibly a "rack" for a SOT that can hold multiple at one time? Maybe 3 or 4 at once.

    TO GRANTH;

    Scottys seem to be the popular one for yaks from my readings, but I'm not all to crazy about the bulky look.

    TO SCOTT:
    I'm looking at options for a rod holder or 2 for a sit in yak, what ya got in mind?? I didn't see anything on your website.
    GO BIG ORANGE !

    I meant to behave, but there were just way too many other options available at the time.

    I use the scotty, but modify it with washers in between the actual holder and the stem that it tightens to. This gives you unlimited up/down adjustment, but the side to side is still limited by the meshing of teeth. I like the look of the highteks in the post above, but I don't see the application being useful to kayaking.
    The best way to get to where you want to be in the future is to act like you are there TODAY.

    I see most hacks have the scotties on them and Cabellas sells a set up with 3 or 4 of those type holders on them but if it was me I would give HiTech a call and he can build you just about anything you want and I love the ones I have. They are a lot less obtrusive in the boat and he has mounts that make them easy to disasemble and store.

    I see them being great for spider rigging a collection of rods right on front of you so they are easy to reach rather than having to really extend forward for multiple scotty's.

    I guess that poses a good question...do these have any angular adjustment for doing such fishing?
