Default Wheeler tournament in the books

We have never had a tournament with SACA that the fishing was this hard. Wheeler has been stingy all season, but this was rediculous. We had 8 teams in attendance at our first tournament of the year. 4 of the 8 teams didn't boat a fish. These are not your average every day fishermen, these are fishermen who have proved time in and time out that they can catch fish.
The fishing was VERY VERY VERY slow and it was hot. Even with the lack of fish, there wasn't a lack of good times and laughter at the weigh in. Never a dull moment when you are around the guys with the SACA.

Jeff and Allison White made it 2 in a row going back to last year. They have proven that crankbaits are key to catching suspended fish, and catching larger fish. Congrats to you both, especially that little girl. All that studying of those cranks has really payed off. Tell Allison to count that money one more time for me Jeff.

David Waters and Gerald Aker finished in second thanks to crankbaits in spring creek. They also caught the big fish of the tournament at 1.69 pounds.

Rex Davis came in third with fish caught out of second creek. He was doing a little bit of everything, but caught his fish tightlining. Good job Rex and I will be taking shirt orders anytime you are ready

Fourth place was Keith Dodd and Don Ledbetter, 2005-2006 team of the year. They were fishing the first creek area.

Ladies and gentlemen, I am glad that one is over. It is off to Little Bear June 24th. There is no meeting next month and No nead to get me those entry fees because we will all launch from the same place. I will be there one hour before fishing time.

If you think we should start earlier and end earlier, let me know. I am all game for it.

    Maybe fish from 5:30-12:00?

Let me know so I can call everyone. My fish started going belly up right around the noon time.
