Default how about a kicker motor on a bass boat

I'm wanting to put a Kickers on my 285 stratos (18.5 foot) thinking about a 4-9.9 Hp just wondering if it would work? I think I can come off my jack plate with another plate it to mount to. If anyone has a one on their bass boat I would love advice and pictures. I thinking just keeping it simple and use a tiller handle with a extension. A mulitspecies would be great but i fish a tree and stump mine field of Truman lake so that would make it tuff. Thanks for the help qwack

satdoc1 on the MS board has one on a bass boat and it is mounted on a plate off of the jack plate......I think at first the plate was catching a lot of water and throwing it up in the air when running slow with the big motor.....did not do it going fast. I seem to remember they were going to modify the plate somehow. Check with him he can tell you all about it.
