    Default Trolling Spinnerbaits?

Anybody try trolling bass-styled spinnerbaits? It is sort of a hot deal among walleye anglers to troll them around sunken timber (say 15 ft down) for walleye. Seems like it would work for crappie too, just wondering if someone that has tried it would shorten the learning curve for this crankbait troller.

For crappie i have ran beetle spins, you dont have to go fast either so your baterry will last

I caught a lot of nice crappie over the years "accidently" on bass sized spinnerbaits, mostly around submerged wood. I think this would be a fantastic tournament tactic for a single "big" fish type tournament.

I have trolled various size/color Rooster Tails over the years with good results. You must put a barrel swivel in-line, above the spinner, or else they twist your line real bad.
