Arkabutla Fish 5/26/2012

I caught these today at Arkabutla. I caught over twenty fish and only had eight legal fish. The one at the bottom was a whopper over 16 inches. I have not fished any of the reservoirs over the past few years and today made me remember why, I hate throwing fish back. I had several 10 and 11 inch fish that would have gone good with some breakfast potatoes and eggs. LOL! Besides that I had a great time.

glass half full, half empty theory maybe. that 16" fish could have been caught a few times and thrown back in giving you the opportunity to catch a really nice crappie....i personally like the coe slot rule, but i do wish you could carry just a few home under the slot for those days the biguns aren't bitin....

I guess that is a way of looking at it, I liked it better when the lot was at 10 inches. Do you think the 12 inch rule has made the quality of fish any better in the lake. I honestly dont have an opinion on that question because as I stated it's been years since I fished at Arkabutla.
