Default Does nobody from the memphis area fish tournaments?

The calls we get for our tournaments all come from men from Arkansas and A very few from Mississippi. Whats the deal? Nobody fish tournaments anymore? I notice if its held in Mississippi they draw a lot of boats, There are nice lakes in Arkansas too!

Got a question. Someone told me that the gamewardens and corp. busted the arkabutla tournament. Is that true? I was told you have to buy permits to hold one there? If so i,m scratching it off our list of lakes.

to answer your question, yes, you must have a permit on coe lakes for tournaments, and secondly i didn't hear of any game wardens being involved at butla, but i can assure if you have short fish, no license, over limit, etc. you are gonna get busted.........

BUSTED is a little strong, tourney director was warned for not having the proper permit. Go to the COE office at Butla and talk to them, you are talking about scratching the best lake on your list.
As far as Arkansas having lakes too, alot of the folks from over there come to MS to fish.
Good luck, hope a yall can go.

Was told that when fishing a tournament at butla you can only have 7 fish in your boat? Is this true? The legal limit is 20 per person, so how can they do that? If its true!
