Look on the mfg's websites for a dealer that will let you test them. A few here have pools or will once a week meet several people with a couple choices to try ata launch site close to their store.

Our Cabela's in Fort Worth has a pond large enough to paddle around in and
test ride any kayak. The even have a launch/ramp for larger boats too. And would
you believe they have stocked it with fish? Their selection of kayaks range from
affordable to out of my price range. BTW, I highly recommend an inflatable PFD.
They are the most comfortable to me, by far.

BPS has a selection, cabelas, gandermountain, dicks sporting goods. Look for a shop that has demo days, alot of outdoor stores have 'em.

I meant to behave, but there were just way too many other options available at the time.

That's a good idea to try out the different sizes and models out before buying.Thumbs Up

Try Austin Kayak on-line. I bought my kayak (Wilderness Systems-The Ride 135) and all my gear from them. They are very nice people to work with and they have everything you could imagine. I bought a high back seat for the kayak that has storage for all of my gear and two rod holders. Pretty sweet setup.

Also checkout NCAngler.com website which I'm also a member. There is a excellent yak group with all the info on best yak for fishing and articles on members modifying their yak with pics.
May the holes in your net be no larger than the fish in it. Irish Blessing.

Appomattox and Austin are tops in internet sales. However, you best bet is a local shop that allows demos so that you can test ride various models.
