Default My 12yr old & the crappie

Yesterday was one of THE most enjoyable days of fishing I've ever had! To "celebrate" his graduating the 5th grade & moving on to middle school next fall, plus being out of school, I carried my 12yr old crappie fishing at our farm. We got on the water at about 6:30 and didn't leave until after 5. He enjoyed every minute of it and we ended up with over 2dzn crappie for the filet knife. He caught the biggest slabs and did so without any live bait in the boat, he listened to my instructions with the jigs and actually caught several slabs while tightlining by days end!

That's awesome ! My 13 yr old got his wisdom teeth removed fri morning so we've been laying around , waiting on him to heal up a bit . Me and that kid has been fishing together since before I could understand his words ! It was tough going for a few yrs with him getting hung up and what not . But he's dang near a master now and I would fish with him in any tournament .
I think it's awesome that y'all went and caught fish ! Congrats !
