Crappie Frustration

I fish a private 5 acre lake and did real well at the end of march not quanity but quality fish 12-15 inchers vertical jigging into april it slowed to a crawl, very few finally broke down and tried some minnows one day last week and not much luck even though the nite before I watched a co worker and friend tearem up fishing off the bank, they caught one every cast whats goen on I caught a couple but not like them?

Anytime I've ever been to a paylake and caught a fish, by the time I got it off the hook and looked up, there's 10 floats in your spot. I was just kidding.
