Whats the state of...

the Crappie spawn there in Michigan? I gonna be in the area in a week and was wondering if they are spawning or in prespawn? Thanks for the help all.

I believe they were in the prespawning stage until all of the rain came through. We were able to catch some small ones in 6' of water. With the temps warming back up and light showers in the forecast, they should begin staging once more. I'm going out this weekend and hoping for some good ones. I'll let you know how I do...or don't do.

went out sunday, found a few black males on the beds, water was 60 deg.the few females I caught were still full of eggs and were just off the break.I think with the sun and warm weather that they should be going at it by the end of the week if not sooner!!
