Eight (8) teams fished the event

High winds were biggest problem of
day. 7-9 mph from 7 - 9 am,
9:30am winds jumped to 13 - 15 mph,
by 11am winds were gusting in 24 - 26
mph range and things went down hill
from there

(1) One position paid for "Big Fish"

1st: Team George Parker / Tim Eberly
1 lb. 10.0 oz

(2) Two positions paid for "7 fish total
catch weight"


1st: Team George Parker / Tim Eberly
10 lbs. 10 oz

2nd: Team Don Collins / Rusty Gregory
9 lbs. 7.0 oz.

First place team used Deep-South 10' rods,
"single pole" jigged in Lake George, prior to
wind going crazy by 9:30am using Southern
Pro "crappie stingers" black/yellow/pearl

Second place used Wally-Marshall 10' rods
"single pole" jigged in Lake George also,
catching their best fish before wind forced
them to retreat into river. They were using
Bobby Garland "baby shad" electric chicken &
a tri-color shad - red, black with firetail

Next tournament will be June 9th, Lake Griffin,
Heerlong Park Public Ramp off hwy 441, Leesburg
area.
