I never used any but around the spawn they should work great. Unsure the rest of the time. My buddy that made Bass spinnerbaits years ago , made ones for Crappie too. I have caught Crappie in spring on huge Bass spinnerbaits.

I've caught them on beetle spins. Should be the same.

The best spinner jig in my opinion is made by crappie pro, I like the chartruce and the red ones with the chartruce being my favorite. I use a kaleins black and blue triple threat grub with a chartruce tail on them, I've literally caught thousands of crappie on them over the years, maybe shouldn't have put that out there but that's what we're on here for to learn what others use to catch fish. Try it and I promise you won't be disappointed....Sherman

Yummy lookin baits...I've caught a ton of crappies and big gills on safety-pin spinners; and in-line spinners too, like Rooster Tails and Panther Martins...

They work great. I caught this fish a few days ago on a little nipper with a jig spinners. I almost exclusively use safety pin spinners for crappie and bluegills for most of early spring and summer. I like to go with the 0 size spinner and a 32nd oz or 16th oz jig.
