Default Tant crappie, but man they pull like a pickup truck.

11" redear and bull bluegill. Makings of a nice quart of fillets.

Those redear were easily 2+ inches at the gills. Caught mostly on teeny tiny crank baits and Burkley Power Bait Nymphs in burnt orange on a 1/64 jig head cast to the bank. Big fun and a six pack of beer to boot.
The best way to get to where you want to be in the future is to act like you are there TODAY.

Gotta love them redear. Got a hole near my house full of big gills and redear. A riot on ultra light tackle. Great catch.

That's exactly what I fished this past week. Feels like a monster on the line compared to crappie. Love catching but hate cleaning them so I usually throw em back or give them away.

My son and I have been catching them using worms or pumpkin/chart. triple ripple grubs, alot of fun if your 40 or 6 years old, never gets old.

Red ears are fun to catch. Give a good pull for their size.
