New rod tips can be found at Wal-Mart. They can be put on with hot melt glue. Have done this many times.
has anyone had good results with tip repair? i have one that needs fixing and could use some suggestions.

Same here to i have done this many times. U can find them at walmart and basspro
They are about an inch long its mostly the tip and alittle extra, sometimes at bass pro u can find some that are alittle diffrent sizes
i probably didn't describe it very well but i'm interested in rejoining the 16" section of rod that broke off.
You "could" put a insert piece into the hollow of the broken sections of the rod & glue it back together .... but, the action is going to be all messed up, probably.
You might be better served by purchasing a whole new upper section of the rod ... if available. If it's a BnM rod, contact Jack Wells & tell him your situation. If it was purchased at Wal-Mart ... see if they'll take it back & exchange it.
Otherwise, tell us what brand/model/length of rod it is, and we'll try & see if we know of any place a replacement tip can be found.
