Even though they were small, they sure do put up a decent fight for their size. Every time i slowly retrieved my blue fox lure, they would hit it so hard, i thought i had something good.

Turned out i caught 15 wipers today out at my favorite spot at Offutt Base Lake today. 15 is what i caught, that wasn't how many times one hit the lure and came off during the retrieve. By my count, i had a good 30 - 35 hits.

I did manage to land one crappie.

He was about the size of the wipers, hit the same blue fox spinner.

Heard a few guys were upset over by the bridge where the crappie usually spawn, apparently the only thing over there was gar and carp. I thought, gar and carp where the crappie usually spawn? The only other place i've heard where the crappie spawn other than the bridge is on the east side of the lake near the boathouse. Might be worth going over there to test the waters.
