Size: 45.8 KBI know this is a Crappie forum, but this fish really surprised me. This Walleye ended up measuring 28"-13.5lbs, and I caught him on a Green Machine tube jig with my Ugly Stick Ultra Lite. Man, Milford has some big ugly Eyes.

Yeah, I'm from Michigan, we catch Walleyes like that one all the time. So, if it was a record....oh well it sure was tasty!

I guessing the 13.5 wasn't on a certified scale but according to this link State Record Fish / Fishing / KDWPT - KDWPT that fish may have put a new name for a record walleye caught in Kansas .

Wished we had those fish down here in the lakes I fish. That would always be a nice surprise anytime crappie fishing. I've never eaten a walleye but hear theyre great tablefare. Congrats.

You're right, it was only weighed on a handscale later that evening. I should have looked up the state record before cleaning it, but like I said earlier, 13 lb Eyes in Upper Michigan where I'm from occur at a higher rate. So, I was just as happy taking it home for dinner.
